Customized Power Systems
for Communication Interoperability Requirements

Newmar has recently engineered and assembled three 12 VDC rackmount power systems for Private Land Mobile Radio networks in Northern California. The radio systems, deployed at various sites, provide primary and multi-band interoperability communications for the county.

Components included were: redundant power supplies, power monitor with alarms, dc power distribution, batteries, and a low voltage disconnect. Rack mount systems are available in 12 VDC, 24 VDC and 48 VDC configurations in a wide range of power ratings.

Whether you need a rackmount system or component solution, Newmar’s engineering team offers comprehensive system integration services. These include consultation, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, test and delivery of fully integrated and functional power plants precisely tailored to meet individual application requirements.

Application: Rackmount Systems Powers FDNY Radio Network

Recently, Newmar engineered and delivered seven 12 VDC rackmount power systems for Amtrak in New York to provide primary and back-up power for repeaters sites used by the FDNY. The radio system provides essential communication between trains and the fire department for emergencies on the tracks, in stations, and in tunnels.

Components included: redundant power supplies with hot swap rectifiers, power monitor with alarms and metering, distribution, 12 VDC batteries, and a low voltage disconnect.
